Our team was thrilled to take a trip to Deep-water Vineyard in Charleston, SC, for Chris and Callie's intimate Lowcountry wedding. We've had the privilege of shooting a lot of Charleston weddings, but this was a new location for us and it was fantastic!
Chris and Callie brought their close friends and families from out of state to say their vows at this incredible venue. At the vineyard, you felt tucked away from the rest of the world, deep in Wadmalaw Island and it couldn't have been more beautiful or romantic!
Chris and Callie decided to have their first look under the moss trees, in the exact spot where they would say "I do!" only a few hours later.
While we waited for Callie to arrive, we hung out with Chris and tried to calm his nerves! It is always so exciting to witness the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time...There were many tears, smiles, and laughs!
A few hours later the ceremony began, and let me tell you, it was a tear-jerker! Chris and Callie delivered beautiful and heartfelt vows that had everyone in tears.
One of our favorite moments was when Callie started her vows and she said "I forgot my vows upstairs." Everyone had a good laugh! Despite having left her notes, she delivered some of the most beautiful vows we've heard.
One of the most special moments of the whole day was the foot-bathing ceremony. Yes, you heard that right! It's a beautiful tradition, but rarely used, so it was beautiful to witness.
After the ceremony, everyone had a delicious BBQ dinner under the tent outside, and then moved into the vineyard tasting room to party! It really was the best day ever.
