Both Chip and Hayden are lifelong residents of the Upstate— Chip grew up in Greer, Hayden in Simpsonville. Though they spent their summers swimming for Summer SAIL in the same division, they didn’t meet until after Hayden graduated from Furman and Chip was finishing up his degree at Clemson. They hit it off right away, both knowing that this relationship was so much more special than any other relationship they had ever had before.
About a year and a half into dating, Chip proposed to Hayden at the spot where they shared their first kiss— a quiet bench overlooking Falls Park on the Reedy. Having called Greenville home for their entire lives, it was a no-brainer for Chip and Hayden to have their wedding in their shared hometown. After touring what felt like all the venues nearby, they fell in love with the timeless beauty of Grand Holland Estate. It was there that their Great Gatsby wedding vision came to life on February 26th.
The Grand Holland Estate is tucked away in the suburbs of Greenville, SC.
It's a gorgeous 10,000 square foot mansion that boasts a unique wedding experience. Most everything is taken care of by the estate, including catering. And there are so many spaces throughout the property to host the events of your wedding day. As Hayden and Chip said best, it's the definition of "southern class." We agree and always love any chance we get to photograph at this uniquely beautiful Greenville, SC wedding venue!

These accommodations also happen to be right off the main highway, I-85 and right next to the infamous Woodruff Road. Natives of Greenville, SC often steer clear of this road because of the intense traffic, especially during rush hours. But while this area can sometimes get a bad reputation, there is a reason for the congestion. There is so much to do on this one stretch of road, and everyone wants to be here!
